Willard C."Woody" Adams, 72, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Monday April 20, 2009 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Born in Greene County, TN (Baileyton), Woody lived most of his life in Kingsport. He was retired from War Path Lanes.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, Rome and Iva Ball Adams; one sister, Dorothy Watts; one brother, Z. Adams.
He is survived by his son, Nick Adams and wife, Rachel, of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Alexandra Adams; two sisters, Shearmalean Johnson, of Kingsport, and Eastlee Vaughn, of Kingsport; three brothers, Marvin Adams, of Kingsport, Jerry Adams, of Kingsport, and Paul Adams, of Fall Branch, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Cater-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Nick D. Adams officiating.
A graveside service will be 11 am Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Fink Cemetery, Kingsport TN, with Rev Bud Beverly officiating. Steve Martin, Bill Muse, Dennis Lane, Jim Cole, Troy Watts and Lucky Watts will be serving as pallbearers. Family and friends who wish to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 am.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Adams family.
