Dear Randy and family-
It deeply saddens me to read of Dr. Montgomery's passing. I want to send my sincerest condolences to all of you. Your family holds such a special place in my heart and I will never forget the kindnesses shown to me during our trip to Nashville many years ago. Randy, you were always a true friend during our school days and it was wonderful to meet your lovely family during the reunion. You are a true testament to the caring, intelligent, and honorable man who raised you. I know he will be sorely missed, but take comfort in knowing he is with Our Father and you will see him again in Heaven. My love to all of you.

I knew Dr. Montgomery as "uncle Bob" and have wonderful memories of him letting me drive the riding lawn mower in the summers, and teaching me how to properly shuffle a deck of playing cards.
In college (on occasion) I would boast with pride about my great uncle who had served and fought for our country in WWII. And tell the story of how my grandfather stole an ambulance after hearing of uncle bobs combat wounds to drive across Europe in order to give him proper treatment. It is in these stories and summers spent in Tennessee that will remain some of the best memories of my childhood and I am glad I have those memories of "uncle Bob" so that I can share in celebrating his life with you.
I am deeply saddened for the loss of Dr. Robert Montgomery and assure you he will be remembered in my house as a great man and most importantly one who had served and been saved by our Lord and savior.
Dan, Nicole (wife), and Isabella (5mo)...
