Flora Lee Bailey, 66, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN
Flora was born in Wise County, Virginia (Appalachia) and had lived in Kingsport most of her life. She was a member of Apostolic Gospel Church (Granby Road).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorvin Harold Bailey in 1997 and her father, Leo Zimmerman.
Survivors include her mother, Ruby H. Zimmerman; two daughters, Davada Bailey Waycaster and husband Stanley, Helen Stallard and friend, Bobby Campbell, all of Kingsport; her son, Rev. Dorvin Bailey of Crawfordsville, Indiana, six grandchildren, Angie Waycaster and partner, Travis Self, Geneva Tolley, Samaria Stallard, Daniel Malcolm Stallard, Jeremiah Stallard and Jobey Bailey; five great grandchildren, Haley Tolley, Iseabel "Bella" Welsch, Lexie "Angel" Self, Sarah Tolley and Zachary Childres; a sister, Carolyn Sue Hale of Lebanon, VA and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Greg Street, officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens, Blountville conducted by Rev. Joel Waldron. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Waldron, Jr., Jobey Bailey and Malcolm Stallard.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Bailey family.
