Maggie Lee "Madeline" Lane

Maggie Lee "Madeline" Lane, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday October 31, 2009 at her residence after an extended illness.

Madeline was born in Scott County, VA and has been a resident of Kingsport since 1988. She was retired from Eastman Kodak after over 34 years and 8 months of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carary Fayette "C.F." and Venus Lane; brother-in-law, Charles Davenport.

She is survived by one sister, Pauline Davenport of Kingsport; two brothers, William "Bill" Carl Lane of North Carolina and Walter "P-Nut" Lane and wife, Virginia of Gate City; seven nieces; and two nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm on Monday, November 2, 2009 at Holston View Cemetery with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. Family and friends who wish to attend the graveside service is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:55 pm.

The family will receive friends at 3 pm on Monday at Scott County Funeral Home, 2060 US Highway 23N, Weber City, following the graveside.

Pauline and Debbie, I will always remember the good times with Madeline and the good food we enjoyed. I will miss her very much, but I know we will see her again. Remember the good times. I pray the comfort that only God can give will be with you during this time.
