Brian Keith Painter, 49, of Eidson, TN passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 after a two year battle with Cancer at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Welch, West Virginia and he and his family moved to Kingsport in 1962. He worked with his family at the Mountaineer Restaurant, Church Hill until it was sold and then worked at Short Mountain, Mooresburg, TN. He was a member of Kyles Ford Baptist Church.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence "Frankie" Painter and Imogene Painter Fagan; grandparents, Phillip and Mary Painter and John and Ora Fagan; several aunts and uncles.
He was survived by his three sons, Chris Painter and wife, April of Edison, TN, Brandon Painter of Rogersville and Ryan Painter of Church Hill; one daughter, Megan Painter of Church Hill; two grandchildren, Tyler Painter, who was very special to him and J.T. Painter, both of Edison, TN; two brothers, Clarence "Junior" Painter and wife Brenda "Kay" of Kingsport and Brad Painter and wife, Vicki of Church Hill; special aunt, Ruby McCoy of Church Hill; nephews, John and William Painter, D. J. and Alex of Church Hill; along with several cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cookie Fugate and Bill Overbay for all their help and support and to all of his doctors, nurses and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Carter Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Hwy 11W, Church Hill, TN.
A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Glen Bradley officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:55 p.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Painter, Brandon Painter, Ryan Painter, Brad Painter, Junior Painter and Ron Arnold.
