Ruby Jane McGrady, 70, of Kingsport, went to be home with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was a life long resident of Sullivan County (Kingsport) and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Blanch Nichols McGrady; two sisters, Lola Fuller, Virginia Neal and five brothers, James McGrady, Guy McGrady, Harrison McGrady, J.T. McGrady and Everett McGrady.
Survivors include her three daughters, Carla Sue Olterman of Kingsport, Roslyn Riner of Jonesborough, TN, Kimberly Ann Riner of Kingsport; two sons, Dee Riner and Douglas Riner, both of Kingsport; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; a brother, Bill McGrady of Kingsport and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 6 pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 6 pm with Dr. Cecil Sturgill and Rev. Joe Robinette, officiating. Music will be provided by Pamela and Samantha Brandon.
Graveside services will be at 3 pm on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Dee Riner, Jason Nunley, Nick Nunley, Hyter Reynolds, Will Robinette. Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Riner and Lynn Overbay.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown Kingsport is serving the McGrady family.
