Louise Quillen, 87, of Gate City, passed away on Friday (February 19, 2010) at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, Virginia. Mrs. Quillen was a member of Gate City United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Rhea Quillen; her parents, John & Edith Barnes Bush; a sister, Katherine Doriot.
Louise Quillen is survived by her daughter, Janice Keith & companion, Don Frazier; a son, Bill Quillen & wife, Darlene (both of Gate City, VA); her grandchildren, Allen Keith & wife, Betsy, Andrew Keith, Julie Townsend & husband, Ben, Laura Quillen; step-grandchildren, Heather Freeman & Jessica Thomas; a great granddaughter, Isabella Keith; her brother, Jack Bush & wife, Linda (Florida); her special friends, Charlie Keith & wife, Kerry along with several nieces and nephews.
A special thank-you goes out to Wellmont Hospice & her caregivers, Darlene Smith & Judy Carver.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday (February 21, 2010) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home or friends may also call anytime at her residence.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday (February 21, 2010) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Harless officiating. Music will be provided by Jim Baker & Dennis Fritz.
The family request, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gate City United Methodist Church, 255 Walnut Street, Gate City, VA, 24251.
Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Quillen family.
