Kingsport - Doug Cole, 51, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, February 24, 2010, at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City after a sudden illness.

He was born in Kingsport and lived most of his life in Florida having returned to Kingsport in 2006.

Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his father, Howard D. Cole, Sr. and a brother, Roger Dean Cole

Survivors include his wife and companion of 28 years, Bonnie S. Cole of the home; son, Shaun Douglas Cole of Kingsport; daughter, Erin Marie Cole of the home; son, Tyler Dean Cole of the home; mother, Thelma Jean Clough and Husband, Tom of Kingsport; sister, Donna Jean Hurst and husband, Gene of Viera. FL; brother, Steven Lee Cole of Florida; four nieces, Charley Gail Mulholland, Kaitlyn and Sarah Blatchford, Michelle Albart; five nephews, Ronnie Wayne Walker, Jr., Christopher Cole,Randall Lee Cole, Steven and David Albart.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport with eulogy by Edward C. Lisic.
