Charles J. Sanders

Charles J. Sanders, 63, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.

He was a life long resident of Sullivan County, Tennessee (Kingsport). He was employed at Lane Lithograph for over 25 years in Columbus Ohio and then worked at Duracell for 5 years. Charles was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hughie Charles and Ina Cox Sanders.

Survivors include his wife of over 23 years, Venida K. Gibbs Sanders of the home; two sons, Joshua A. Wilson and wife, Kimberly of Richland, NC and Michael A. Wilson and Stacy Bandy of Chillicothe, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joshua, Jr., Jaiden, Jailah, Morgan, Tanner and Bailey; and his sister, Sharron Thornburg, of Randleman, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Eulogies will given by his family and friends.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Sanders family.
