Sid is a life-long resident of this area. He was born in Rye Cove, VA and attended Rye Cove High School. Sid works in the maintenance area of the funeral home as well as assisting on funerals. He started part time with the funeral home as he was Foreman at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City. Following retirement from there in 2002 he came full time to the funeral home bringing with him over 36 years experience. Sid is married to Shirley Grizzel Darnell and they have five daughters
