Carter-Trent Funeral Home is very proud to provide to our families an opportunity to have their visitation and/or service broadcast on the internet. 

 

When a family selects this option during the funeral arrangements, they will have several choices to make regarding how they would like the broadcasting / video capture to be done.  The choices available are 1) to be broadcast only, 2) to broadcast and record the service or 3) to record the service only without broadcasting it on the internet.

 

In making these selections they provide an opportunity for anyone with computer access and log into our site, www.cartertrent.com.  After doing so, clicking on the appropriate service on our home page and being connected to a video page in which they may watch the ongoing service.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for family and friends who will not be able to physically be there in the funeral chapel to share in the experience of the visitation and service.  For those who are home bound or live out of the area or time constraints keep them from being at the funeral home, they will now have an opportunity to be a part of the funeral experience.

 

As with all venues of this type, we ask all families who choose this service to sign a release which gives us permission to broadcast the image over the internet, to capture the image and record the service and to let them know that anyone who attends will have their image on camera.  We have also taken several steps to insure that anyone who enters the chapel is made aware of that fact and has an opportunity to visit without their image being captured.

 

All in all we feel that this is a wonderful way for families to stay connected in the “Global” world of today.
